“Emily In Paris” actress Thalia Besson is feeling a little sensitive.

In her latest role in a Cetaphil campaign, the 23-year-old plays the would-be girlfriend of a man with whom she spent the night. Early the next morning, she saunters over to the bathroom dressed in a satin white nighty (a color symbolic of her pure intentions) to find makeup scattered around the bathroom sink presumed to belong to the sleeping hunk’s actual girlfriend, who is MIA.

Smooth Move

After paying him a discerning side-eye, Besson takes a look in the mirror as if to shake her head before her eyes dart over to some relief: the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. After taking a couple pumps and lathering it on, she has a catharsis. Rather than indulge in dirty drama, she is inspired to make the wise decision to wash herself of the situation… and her face! She then quietly dresses and jilts her potential suitor while making a clean getaway — with the Cetaphil cleanser in tow!

The campaign is a nod to her character in the spunky romantic hit Netflix drama.

“I haven’t dealt with it personally, but it’s something I think I’ve seen a lot [of and] even heard from my friends that icks me,” Besson, the daughter of French filmmaker Luc Besson, told Happi in an exclusive interview. “I don’t like it. I thought it was a very fun and clever idea, especially since my passion is acting. The storyline was fun. I got to play around with it using the cleanser to clean off that negataive energy, and also sneaking off and taking the power back by stealing the Cetaphil and taking it with me. I look at myself in the mirror and I’m like, ‘I deserve better and so does the Cetaphil.’”

These snafus are just as irritating to Besson as her eczema flareups. Luckily, she finds relief in little godsends like Cetaphil’s Gentle Cleanser. The cleanser is formulated with Micellar Technology for normal to dry skin and contains niacinamide, panthenol and glycerin to provide continuous hydration to protect against dryness.

“My skin gets so irritated,” she said. “I’ve struggled with eczema since birth and products tend to irritate it very easily. It’s so gentle on my skin and I don’t have to worry about irritation.”

Or irritation from stressful situationships!
